In this project I tried to look deeper into fabric how they appear in the world such as adding many small hairs, giving a more realistic look of a cotton fabric.
Parallel I was trying out hairs in Houdini where I came up with the idea of replacing the hair strings with the spike objects. Later I calculated a particle simulation starting from the spikes influenced by uprising wind force.
The looks and behavior of the particle simulation almost resembles that of ferrofluids.
